YourDailyBook is a subscription for AI-generated audiobooks (and text) across all genres, delivered through the website and the mobile app. Audiobooks are the main product; text is available to read or follow along. The Write Your Own feature is text-only — and it's also a tool for writers, who bring their ideas, get a book written chapter by chapter, revise it, and leave with a finished book and a license to sell it.
The service is open to all ages — content adapts to the user's age (see Age & Content Access) — one account per person, and for personal listening and reading — no reselling the catalog, no scraping, no using the service to generate content for another business. Subscriptions are billed monthly on your signup date and renew automatically until you cancel; payment is handled by Stripe and we never see or store card numbers. You can cancel anytime from your account page, and your access continues to the end of the paid period.
Your book-in-progress is saved — the story bible, every chapter, and the revision history — and you can leave and pick up exactly where you left off at any time, with no time limit and no expiry. Each book includes 1 revision per chapter; extra revisions are $5 per chapter, with no cap as long as each one is paid for. Books made with Write Your Own are delivered as a rough draft, never as the final product — final editing and proofreading are your job. We can suspend or close an account for breaking these terms, and you can delete your account anytime.
Privacy Policy
We collect your account info (name, email, encrypted password), the personal details you give us for your personalized book, your Write Your Own inputs and revision answers, and your listening and reading data (what you played, where you stopped, which voice you picked) so we can resume playback and recommend books. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see, store, or touch card numbers.
Your personal details are used only to generate your book. They are never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train AI models. Personal details are sent to the AI services only as needed to generate your book. We never record your voice — the narrator voices are AI voices, not recordings of you — and we don't collect location, contacts, photos, or microphone access.
You can see, change, or delete your personal details from your account page at any time, request a copy of your data, or delete your account and all personal data. Children may use the service with a parent or guardian managing the account and payment; child accounts are set to child mode (age-appropriate content only).
Content & AI Disclosure Policy
Every book on YourDailyBook is AI-generated, and we say so openly — on the book page, in the app, and in our ads. We never pretend a book was written by a human. Every book carries an "AI-Generated" badge. Catalog books are generated chapter by chapter from a story bible and go through a human quality check before they publish; if a book has errors, you can report it and we'll fix or replace it.
Content rules work in two tiers. For the shared catalog (Daily Books) and personalized books, guidelines apply: fiction only (no non-fiction), every book carries a content rating (PG, PG-13, or Rated R) decided when the book is generated, and no sexual content involving minors, no content sexualizing a real person without consent, no hate content, and no instructions for wrongdoing. For Write Your Own books, an adult account has no holds and no blocks — full creative freedom, any genre, any theme, any rating. A child account (or a visitor) is in child mode: age-appropriate books only.
The three ratings. PG is for everyone: no sexual content, no graphic violence, mild language at most. A PG Horror book is eerie, not gory; a PG Romance is sweet, with no sexual content. PG-13 is for readers 13 and up: mild sexual content or innuendo, moderate violence, some strong language — steamy and open-door at most, nothing explicit. Rated R is for adults 18 and up: adult, well-written, story-first. Explicit sexual content is allowed when it serves the story, and explicit gore is allowed when the story needs it — and only in genres where gore fits: Horror, Thriller and Crime when the plot demands it, war scenes in Historical Fiction, battle scenes in Fantasy and Science Fiction. Gore almost never belongs in Romance or Mystery. A Rated R book is never pornographic and never shock-for-shock's-sake: the rating permits gore, but the story decides whether it appears. A book's rating is decided when it is generated and never changes afterward.
Write Your Own books are generated and delivered as fiction, in rough-draft form (see the Release Terms in Licensing & Ownership). After delivery, you may adapt your book freely — including converting it to non-fiction — at your sole responsibility. And in Write Your Own, the AI does not refuse, block, or withhold your content during generation: if your idea could be stronger, the AI suggests better revisions instead of refusing.
The one absolute boundary applies everywhere, in every tier, including Write Your Own: no sexual content involving minors, in any form. That is not a company guideline — it is illegal, every AI provider and app store bans it, and allowing it would get the accounts, the app, and the company shut down. It is also the one exception to the no-refusal rule above: this boundary is enforced by the AI providers themselves, at the model level — it is the law, not a company rule, and no prompt or policy can make a model generate that content. You are solely responsible for the content you request and create — if your book defames a real person, that is your responsibility, not the company's, and you agree to hold the company harmless from claims arising from content you created.
Licensing & Ownership
The company holds the license to every book generated on the site. A subscription gives you a license to listen to and read the books while you're subscribed — access ends when the subscription ends, and you don't own the books and can't resell or redistribute them. You can also buy the license to a story you love: when you do, that story is removed from the catalog and sent to you, exclusively.
When a writer pays for a Write Your Own book, they get the finished book as a whole, with a license to sell it — the complete text, exclusive access, and the right to publish and sell it on Amazon KDP, Gumroad, or anywhere else, keeping the revenue. The company retains no right to sell or distribute that book after the sale. The book is delivered as a rough draft, and the writer is responsible for final editing and preparation for publication.
Release Terms — Write Your Own Books
Every book produced through Write Your Own is released under these terms (draft language — a lawyer must confirm the exact wording before launch):
- Fictional work only. All books produced through the Write Your Own service are generated and delivered as works of fiction. The company does not generate, publish, or deliver non-fiction through this service.
- Rough draft; no warranty. Each book is delivered as a rough draft, not as a final or publication-ready product. The company makes no representation or warranty that any delivered book is error-free, factually accurate, or ready for publication without further work by the writer. Final editing, proofreading, and preparation for publication are the sole responsibility of the writer.
- Purpose. The fiction-only and rough-draft limitations exist because non-fiction carries legal exposure the company does not assume, including claims arising from false statements of fact about real persons or real events. By delivering fiction in draft form, the company does not assert any fact about any real person or event.
- Writer's adaptation. Upon delivery, the writer may edit, revise, or adapt the book in any manner, including converting it in whole or in part to non-fiction. Any such adaptation is the writer's own work, undertaken at the writer's sole discretion and sole responsibility. The company is not the author of, and bears no responsibility for, any adapted version or any content the writer adds, changes, or publishes.
- License. The writer receives the delivered book with an exclusive commercial license to sell and distribute it. That license covers the book as delivered; it does not extend to any representation about the accuracy, legality, or fitness of any adapted version.
- Indemnification. The writer is solely responsible for the content they create and publish, including any adaptation. The writer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the company from any claim arising from the writer's book or adaptation.
- No refusal. During generation, the AI does not refuse, block, or withhold the writer's content. If the writer's idea could be stronger, the AI suggests better revisions instead of refusing. The sole exception is the legal hard stop — sexual content involving minors — which is enforced by the AI providers themselves and is not a company decision; no prompt or policy can make a model generate that content.
All content created by the company — the books, the audio, the text, the images, the site and app themselves — is the exclusive property of the company and may be purchased or licensed only through the company. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited, and the company will pursue legal action, including DMCA takedowns and infringement claims. (Honest note: purely AI-generated text is not copyrightable under U.S. law, so enforcement rests mainly on the Terms of Service contract and platform takedowns — a lawyer will confirm the exact language before launch.)
Refunds & Cancellation
Cancel anytime from your account page, in two taps. Your access continues until the end of the paid period, and monthly subscription fees are not refunded for a partial month. If the service was down, or a book was broken and we couldn't fix it, we refund or credit the affected period.
The upfront fee pays for pre-render work that happens at signup — caching the tone, tempo, and emotion directions and rendering the launch catalog in the narrator voices. That work is performed the moment signup completes, so the upfront fee is non-refundable once signup is complete. We explain this plainly before you pay, so you know what the fee pays for.
For pay-per-book: if your custom book is not delivered (generation failed), you get a full refund. If you simply change your mind after the book is delivered, there's no refund — the work was done. To request a refund, use your account page or email us; we respond within 2 business days.
How It Works
YourDailyBook is an audiobook service where every book is written by AI and read by an AI voice. A new book in every genre lands every day. You listen in the app (background playback, offline download, sleep timer, speed control) or on the website, and you can read the text too — your place is saved either way.
There are four tabs. Daily Books is the shared catalog: a new book in every genre, every day, for all subscribers. Continue Reading is where the books you've started wait for you, right where you left off. Made For You is your personalized book, once a week, made from the details you put in at signup (changeable anytime on your account page). Write Your Own builds your own book chapter by chapter with the AI — you give the ideas, the AI writes it, you revise it with a guided question set, and when it's done you get the book as a rough draft with a license to sell it. Write Your Own has a child/adult switch set by the birthday on your account — child mode makes age-appropriate books only, adult mode is unchained.
Every audiobook can be listened to in any of the narrator voices (Warm, Deep, Bright, and more). Switch voices anytime — even mid-sentence — without losing your place, and your pick stays your default. Listener is $9.99/month (Daily Books + a weekly Made For You book); Author is $24.99/month (all of that, plus one Write Your Own book a month). Cancel anytime. And every book is AI-generated — look for the "AI-Generated" badge on every book.
Community Guidelines
These rules cover the books the company publishes to the Daily Books and Made For You catalog. (Write Your Own books are the writer's own work and are not subject to these guidelines.) The catalog is fiction only — no non-fiction, because non-fiction risks false statements about real people and real events.
Every catalog book carries a content rating — PG, PG-13, or Rated R — decided when the book is generated and shown as a tag on the book. PG is for everyone; PG-13 is for readers 13 and up and includes steamy, open-door romance at most; Rated R is for adults 18 and up and may include explicit content when it serves the story (see Content & AI Disclosure for the full definition). No book is published without a rating tag, and a book's rating never changes after it is generated. You can filter the catalog by rating, within the ratings open to your age. Every catalog book goes through a human quality check before it publishes.
No sexual content involving minors, ever — that rule applies to the catalog, to personalized books, and to Write Your Own, and it is not a guideline, it is the law. No content that sexualizes a real person without consent, no hate content targeting a protected group, and no instructions for wrongdoing. You can report any catalog book from its page; we review every report and remove or fix the book. Reports are not public and the reporter is never identified to other users.
Age & Content Access Policy
YourDailyBook is open to all ages — there is no 18+ gate. Content adapts to your age instead of blocking anyone under 18. Every book carries a content rating — PG, PG-13, or Rated R — decided when the book is generated and shown as a tag on the book. What you can open depends on your age:
- Under 13: PG only. PG-13 and Rated R books are locked.
- 13–17: PG and PG-13. Rated R books are locked.
- 18 and over: PG, PG-13, and Rated R — the full catalog.
- Visitor (not signed in): PG only, because we can't verify your age.
Your age is computed live from the date of birth on your account, every time you open the catalog — nothing is stored to update. When you have a birthday, the next tier unlocks automatically: PG-13 opens when you turn 13, Rated R when you turn 18.
Locked books stay visible in the catalog with a small grey lock icon, so you can see the book exists and what rating it is. Clicking a locked book shows a short message stating the age requirement — for example, "This book is rated PG-13. It unlocks when you turn 13." — with no preview text and no audio for a locked book.
In Made For You settings, you choose which ratings your weekly book can be: three checkboxes, PG, PG-13, and Rated R. Which boxes you can check depends on your age — under 13, PG only; 13–17, PG and PG-13; 18 and over, all three. Each week, your story's rating is drawn from the ratings you checked. If you check none, the draw uses the ratings open to your age — except Rated R, which is only ever picked if you explicitly checked it.
The three ratings. PG is for everyone: no sexual content, no graphic violence, mild language at most. PG-13 is for readers 13 and up: mild sexual content or innuendo, moderate violence, some strong language — steamy and open-door at most, nothing explicit. Rated R is for adults 18 and up: adult, well-written, story-first — explicit content is allowed when it serves the story, and explicit gore when the story needs it, only in genres where gore fits. A Rated R book is never pornographic and never shock-for-shock's-sake. (See Content & AI Disclosure for the full definition.)
Write Your Own has a child/adult switch, and the switch is controlled by us — not by you. Your birthday at signup sets it: under 18 turns on child mode (age-appropriate books only — no sexual content, no adult themes); 18 or over grants adult access (adult mode is unchained). You cannot flip the switch yourself. A parent can set up and manage a child's account; if you believe your child's account is set to adult mode, contact us at support@yourdailybook.com and we will correct it.
No sexual content involving minors is generated, stored, or allowed in any form, in any tier, in any mode — child or adult — including Write Your Own. This is a hard rule with no exceptions, enforced at generation time and by human review of reports.
Data Deletion
You can delete your personal details from your account page anytime — change or remove the details you put in at signup, and deleting them stops them from being used for future personalized books. You can delete your whole account from your account page (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing us.
Deleting your account deletes your personal details, your signup details, your personalized and Write Your Own inputs, your listening and reading history, and your voice preference — and it cancels your subscription so there are no further charges. It does not delete payment records (Stripe keeps transaction records for legal and tax reasons; we never hold card numbers), books you already bought a license for (you already have the file — it's yours), or copies of a book you published and sold (we can't recall copies already with buyers).
Personal data is deleted within 30 days of your request — usually much faster, within a few business days — and you'll get a confirmation email when it's done. Once an account is deleted it cannot be restored; you'd need to sign up again as a new user.
Children's Safety
The service is open to all ages. Content adapts to the user's age — child accounts and visitors can open PG books only, and the Write Your Own child/adult switch is set by the birthday on the account: child accounts are in child mode, adult accounts are granted adult access. No sexual content involving minors is generated, stored, or allowed in any form, in any mode, in any tier. This is a hard rule with no exceptions, enforced at generation time and by human review of reports. Parents manage a child's account; if you believe your child's account is set to adult mode, contact us at support@yourdailybook.com and we will correct it.
